Because of my suspicions and some physical signs on me, I took grains of rice and heated on a stainless steel utensil and some of the grains stuck to it and, to my extreme surprise, a grain jumped out of it. Not being sure of those results, I then boiled a tiny amount of the raw basmati rice, left it two days in the fridge, then took it out of the fridge and let it stand on the counter for about three days. Peculiar as it is, the rice did not create any mold and its consistancy is, to me, like plastic. In reality, I cannot really discern since I have no background in this but it looks to me that, for sure, it is not normal...

Please note that I do not want to get sick nor do I want to have anyone sick. This all is absolutely terrifying and upseting!

My other concern is also with ingredients that are used with normal foods. I feel that this is horrifying and what is more horrifying, it is that people may be using food products thinking that they are safe and also adding these products as hidden ingredientes or plain sight ingredients for their final product like in rice noodles, rice cakes, and like baby food and like cakes made with potentially fake eggs, and etc..
This basmati rice that I purchased is supposed to be from India. In the video I saw, they had it that plastic rice has entered the Indian market. I have to say that we cannot and should no fully count on people who have bad business practices.
I would love to see this stopped before the supplies come into the country altogether. Please, I want my safe and good Canada back.
